Das Air Defender 2023 Großmanöver fand unter Beteiligung von 25 Nationen vom 12. bis 23. Juni 2023 in Deutschland statt. Dabei befanden Sie zwei primäre Luftwaffen Stützpunkte in Schleswig-Holstein, einmal in Jagel bei Schleswig und einmal in Hohn bei Rendsburg. Aufgrund der Nähe zu unserem Wohnort bot sich natürlich eine wenig Planespotting an und wir hatten in diesen Tagen auch wirklich Glück mit dem guten Wetter.
Zunächst fuhren wir am 15. Juni nach Jagel und konnten uns sehr gut am Ende der beiden Start/Landebahnen 05/23 und 07/25 positionieren. Freundlicherweise hatte ein Bauer sein Feld zum Parken für die vielen Planespotter freigegeben, so dass ein langer Anmarsch nicht notwendig war. Polizei und Feldjäger (Deutsche Militärpolizei) waren schon vor Ort um Aufzupassen, es herrschte aber eine gute Stimmung unter allen Anwesenden und Schaulustigen.
In Jagel ist zurzeit das taktisches Luftwaffengeschwader 51 „Immelmann“ mit den Tornados stationiert, diese konnten wir allerdings leider nicht sehen und fotografieren. Folgende Flugzeuge konnten wir allerdings einfangen.

und zwei Helikopter konnten auch gesehen werden, einmal die Cougar AS 532 U2 und der Airbus H135:

The Air Defender 2023 major maneuver took place in Germany from June 12 to 23, 2023 with the participation of 25 nations. They had two primary air force bases in Schleswig-Holstein, one in Jagel near Schleswig and one in Hohn near Rendsburg. Due to the proximity to our place of residence, a little plane spotting was of course an option and we were really lucky with the good weather these days.
First we drove to Jagel on June 15 and were able to position ourselves very well at the end of the two runways 05/23 and 07/25. A farmer kindly released his field for parking for the many plane spotters, so that a long march was not necessary. The police and Feldjäger (German military police) were already on site to keep an eye on things, but there was a good atmosphere among all those present and onlookers.
The tactical air force squadron 51 “Immelmann” is currently stationed in Jagel with the Tornado jet, but unfortunately we were not able to see or photograph them. However, we were able to capture the following aircraft.
