Östlich vom Bahnhof Flensburg, auf der Strecke nach Kiel, gibt es ein schönes Fotomotiv. Die alte Peelwatt Brücke war früher, bevor es die östliche Umgehung in Flensburg gab, die Verbindung vom südlichen Industriegebiet zum Munketoft und Campus. Von dort konnte man damals auf das, leider nicht mehr vorhandenen, Bahnbetriebswerk mit Drehscheibe und Ringlokschuppen herunterblicken. Die Brücke überspannt zwei Bahngleise. Einmal die erwähnte eingleisige Strecke nach Kiel und zum anderen das alte Rangiergleis. Für Autos ist die Brücke inzwischen gesperrt, man kommt nur noch als Fußgänger oder Fahrradfahrer über die Brücke. In der Mitte der Brücke gibt es einen ehemaligen Wasserlauf und somit bieten sich einige interessante Motive zum fotografieren an. Kennt Ihr auch interessante Brücken zum ablichten? To the east of Flensburgs main train station, by the train route to Kiel, there is a nice photo opportunity. The old Peelwatt Bridge used to be the connection from the southern industrial area to the Munketoft and campus area before the eastern bypass existed in Flensburg. From there you could look down on the, unfortunately no longer existing, railway depot with turntable and roundhouse. The bridge spans over two railroad tracks, the mentioned single-track line to Kiel and the old shunting track. The bridge is now closed to cars, you can cross the bridge as a pedestrian or cyclist only. In the middle of the bridge, there is a former watercourse and so there are some interesting motifs to photograph. Do you also know interesting bridges to take pictures from?
